Meet Les Tongs Rosé 2014 from Provence.
With the demand for Provençal rosé ever rising and pressure on prices, we have been on the look-out for a Provençal rosé bargain.
We found it!
This is good value rosé from the Var sub-region of Provence. It’s made by a young female winemaker Elodié Dieudonné at Domaine de Canterelle. It’s light and fruity but with a crisp finish. Its cheeky label shows a pair of thongs. Les tongs literally means thongs (flip-flops) in French. A wine to drink at the beach or by the pool or around the table with friends and family.
A great quaffer for the rest of summer/autumn. Consume in moderation of course!
A new vintage of one of our best sellers. Domaine Roche-Audran has been following biodynamic practices since 2006. It is situated on 3 seperate sites on the Cotes du Rhone, uses vines between 35 and 100 years old, and has developed a growing reputation for producing quality wines of character.
Delicious grenache/shiraz and excellent value for money. The new vintage is excellent: rich fruit and soft tannins.
