For a lover of Bordeaux clarets, this is the pack for you. Claret is an english name for Bordeaux reds. Three elegant Bordeaux clarets, from Graves and Saint Émilion.
Château Crabitey Graves 2012, $45 – 2 bottles
From the Graves sub-region of Bordeaux. This producer is considered one to watch. Still very affordable for this multi-award winning wine.
Château Truquet St Emilion 2011, $36.50 – 2 bottles
You will love for its soft rich fruit, balance and complexity. This is an undervalued producer that is the neighbour of famed Chateau Figeac.
Camille de Labrie 2012, Bordeaux – on the border of St Emilion, $39 – 2 bottles.
Château de Labrie is perhaps the smallest producer of quality wine in Saint-Emilion. They are called “garagistes”. (The production would fit in a garage!). They produce a grand cru wine which is highly sought after, and this wine (made from grapes just outside St Emilion) is produced with the same exacting standards.
This new offering is a juicy and friendly Bordeaux, that reflects the fresh, young, vibrancy of Axelle and Pierre’s young daughter, Camille, who also designed the label with its appealing naïve and colourful imagery.
Great value at $230 (when purchased individually will be $241.00)
By purchasing this wine you confirm that you are over 18 and accept the terms and conditions of sale.
