The producer is considered one of the best in the vast Bordeaux sub-region of Entre-deux-Mers. Very good value! Dan Trauki at Wine assist summed it up “Gorgeous lingering citrus flavours, great poise & balance. This is an outstanding wine.“
Region/Terroir: Bordeaux sub-region of Entre-deux-Mers. 12 hectares of vines.
Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc 40%, Sauvignon Gris 20%, Sémillon 20%, Muscadelle 20%. Average age of vines 25 years.
Alcohol: 12.5%
Winemaking techniques: Skin maceration for 24 hours. Cold-fermentation (16°C). Aged on fine lees.
Our tasting notes: Light gold colour. The nose is lifted and complex with aromas of citrus fruit and white peaches. The palate is fruity and well balanced. It has a pleasant “fatness” and on the finish lightly peppery and savoury, with lingering finish. The blend, being mostly sauvignon, brings to this wine a sharpness and freshness, whilst the other varieties add some roundness and complexity.
“A wonderful surprise. Fruity and smooth then a crisp finish” Jenny Sydney.
It is a perfect accompaniment for seafood and salmon, sushi, paella and goat’s cheese.
Single bottles, multiple bottles or complete boxes (6 bottles) can be ordered.

A great value Bordeaux white. It is made with the same meticulous care and methods as for the Grands Crus Classés wines of Bordeaux. But it’s from the hidden gem of Saint Macaire one of the sub-regions of Bordeaux. It’s the kind of great tasting, great value French bargain we search out on our buying trips. We were so pleased to find this one and its matching red!
Our best selling white wine. Stylish crisp and refreshing, perfect with salads, nibbles or on its own. 2015 was an outstanding year for Bordeaux white wines. An alternative to NZ sav blanc.
This a classic Sauternes dessert wine. It’s been bottled as a cleanskin from a famous Sauternes producer. It’s delicious and if labelled as the chateau wine it would sell for much more. 375ml bottle.
