After last month’s appearance in Country Style magazine Helen was interviewed in the Sydney Telegraph for Bastille Day and for Ma Vie Française!

Chateau de Saurs Gaillac Rouge 2010

We are onto our last stocks of this excellent wine form the 2010 vintage. From an organic producer (no artificial chemicals or sprays) .

It’s a blend of Shiraz, Merlot and a unique indigenous variety called Braucol (which gives it lovely fruit and some spiciness.

We would describe this as a medium weight wine. Very versatile with a variety of foods – charcuterie, cheese, the last of the winter casseroles and the first of the spring barbecues.

Here are some accolades: Silver Winner at Concours National des Vignerons Independants

“This is easily the best Gaillac wine that I have tried.” wrote wine writer Sean Mitchell, Grape Observer June 2014.

Normally $26.50 per bottle, for our loyal newsletter recipients we are offering a box of 6 for $22.50 each or 15% off. Use code SAURS10 or call Helen on 0414 596 395 for assistance. Offer valid next 7 days.

Chateau Beycheville Grand Bateau 2012

We have a  new vintage of this popular white wine. It’s 100% sauvignon blanc.

The same team that produces the prestigious classified Chateau Beychevelle red wine, makes Grand Bateau. Chateau Beychevelle is a classified Saint-Julien cru classé producer with a tradition of growing vines on the Garonne gravel of the Médoc dating back to the Middle Ages.
Our Tasting notes:  Aromatic nose with buttery-vanillin oak notes and tropical fruit.  On the palate the wine is round, fleshy with wonderful minerality and delightful tropical fruit flavours. Lovely balance between the oak, fruit and acidity.  Excellent finish.
This was one of the standout wines at the Vinexpo 2015 wine exhibition in Bordeaux.   It offers value for money and exquisite drinking. Just drink on its own, enjoy with a pre-dinner platter or seafood and white meats.

Usually $32, we have reduced to $28.80 per bottle (10% off).

Type in code BATEAU14 at  check-out online or call 0414 596 395. Give it a go we are confident that you will be back for more.

Offer available for 7 days only.

International Trophy in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2015. Now sold out at the winery. We secured 300 bottles only. Now available for pre-order for $46.50 per bottle.

“Fresh and warm, with well-judged oak bringing a little spiciness to the table, complementing earthy, smoky aromas of black cherry, herbs and liquorice. Vivid, ample, stylish and articulate, this displays lovely balance, reams of deep, juicy fruit, and a characterful, dusty finish. A simply stunning illustration of Fronton.”

Check out also the 2010 vintage which is delicious and drinking at its peak and a bargain at  $35.60. Again limited stocks.
